The Present

What I learn today, might becom useful tomorrow, right? The power of knowledge is something that everybody is gifted in, no matter how forgetful you are. For example, when I learn something that hurts others, I make an effort not to do it again. You remember things that are important, but vaguely remember things that aren't important. Why? Why do we forget the old and useless, when it just might come in handy the next time we come across it? It's like using a fresh new pencil. It's new, so that's why we use it. But we have another pencil. It's been in our whole lives, but it's tattered and the led keeps breaking. We don't like it because it's old. We waste things that are low in profit, when we should value it just like any other object.

Did God lead us to this, or is it just our nature to look in to the future, but not in the past?
